A double elimination bracket consists of two sets of brackets, a winner’s bracket and a loser’s bracket where the winner of the loser’s bracket plays the winner of the winner’s bracket for the championship.
This type of bracket is used in double elimination tournaments where any team, even one that lost once still has the chance to become the winner of the tournament. In many high level competitions this type of tournament format has become more and more popular because teams have a second chance at becoming the champions of the tournament.
Using a double elimination bracket template makes it easier to keep track and record the progress of any teams that have qualified or are participating in a double elimination competition.
